Instruments/Talents:
Guitar – Electric, Acoustic & Classical
Experience In The Music Field:
"I have been playing guitar seriously since I was 12 when I got my first guitar for
Christmas. I began taking lessons for a year but when I became unsatisfied
with my progress I began to teach myself. I started my own rock band in when I
was 15. We moved through all kinds of genres from easy listening to technical
metal. I also played with other bands around Rochester during this time as well.
I played guitar at my high school in the jazz and concert bands where I filled in
on parts where sections were lacking. I continued playing in every opportunity
that fell into my lap. I felt so passionately about my music I decided to continue
my studies into the college level and into a new style of playing. I began
studying classical guitar and music performance at MCC in Rochester NY with
Anton Machleder and a year later began perusing my Bachelor's in Music
Education at Buffalo State College under Evan Drummond. There I am part of
the Guitar Duo, Quartet, and the Chamber Choir. I also do solo performances
every semester."
Favorite Instrument:
"My favorite instrument would have to be guitar hands down."
Why He Enjoys Teaching Music:
"I enjoy being able to take what I have learned as a musician and pass it along
to others who are looking to expand and grow musically."
Why Music Is A Passion:
"Music is the most expressive art form out there in my opinion. Life is about
following your passions and I’m following mine."
Musical Inspiration:
"Guitar players - Randy Rhodes and JB Brubaker"
Any Other Interesting Facts:
"In my spare time I like to compose my own music for the guitar. I try to take
feelings and emotions of what I have going on in my life and bring them to life. I
try to encompass sounds from different genres and mold them into something I
can call my own."
